Request a Package or Version
If the package or version you need isn't currently available on PackForge, you can submit a request and subscribe to that request.
When should I use Notify Me?
Notify Me supports two types of request: a missing package and a missing version.
Missing package
Use a Package request when the package itself isn't available on PackForge.
Missing version
Use a Version request when the package already exists but the version you need isn't currently available.
Requesting a missing package
Start by searching PackForge to confirm that the package isn't already available.
Use the Packages page and search by package name.
Submit the missing package name and, if useful, add a description.
PackForge associates your email with the request.
If the package already exists in PackForge, a new Package request isn't created.
Requesting a missing version
A Version request is used when the package exists but one specific version isn't available.
If the package itself isn't available, submit a Package request instead.
If the requested version already exists, PackForge doesn't create another request.
Guest users and signed-in users
Notify Me works for both visitors and signed-in users.
Guest
If you're not signed in, enter your email address when submitting the request.
Signed-in user
If you're signed in, PackForge uses the email associated with your account.
What if the request already exists?
PackForge keeps the request itself separate from the users subscribed to that request.
If the same request already exists, PackForge reuses that request and adds the new user as a subscriber.
The same user or email can't subscribe to the exact same request more than once.
Request statuses
Requests can move through several statuses while they are being reviewed and processed.
Adding a description
The Description field is optional, but it can help explain what you're looking for.
We need this version because our current project
depends on this release line.
